Connecting Claude

Updated 2026-10-20

What it is

Cracked Robot is a control plane for work done by people and AI agents together: projects, their epics and tickets, a shared memory of pages, and the sessions and machines that do the work. Amy is the personality who works on a project from its chat. Connecting Claude gives it Amy's hands: the same tools, on a project that is already set up, used as you.

The connector is the Model Context Protocol server at https://api.cracked.bot/mcp. Every tool is one of Amy's, with annotations describing its effects. Confirmation depends on your client's permissions. A tool names the project and its workspace by their slugs, as the portal shows them.

Who can connect

Cracked Robot is invite only. Connecting signs you in with your own Cracked Robot account, and that account reaches exactly what it reaches in the portal: the workspaces you are an approved member of, and the projects assigned to you there. An account that belongs to no workspace cannot connect: the sign-in page tells you so and offers to join a workspace with the id its owner gave you, after which the owner approves you on the workspace's members list.

How to connect

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the URL https://api.cracked.bot/mcp. No client id or secret is needed: Claude registers itself.
  2. Claude opens the Cracked Robot sign-in. Sign in with the code emailed to you, or with Google, then allow Claude to use Cracked Robot as you.
  3. Back in Claude, enable the connector in a conversation and ask for something on your project: the tools appear as Claude needs them.

Claude Code and other MCP clients connect the same way, with the same URL. A connection is remembered until you remove it: in the portal, under your profile menu, CONNECTED APPS lists every app you allowed, and REMOVE ends its access at once.

What Claude can and cannot do

What Amy does on a project: read and write epics, tickets, comments and attachments; keep the shared memory; read the project's deployed systems; create and steer sessions, read the budget, and add, read, checkpoint, restore and rebuild the project's machines. Direct shell commands and a machine console are not available.

Setting things up stays with people, in the portal: workspaces, members and approvals, creating a project, connecting providers, and every token or key. Claude cannot create, rotate or delete a token, cannot read or set a connector's key, and cannot join or approve a workspace on your behalf.

Your data

A tool call carries only what that operation needs and answers with what the API answers you. The client sends tool arguments, which can include content from your conversation; project changes are saved in Cracked Robot and results are returned to the client. What Cracked Robot collects through its website and accounts is described in the Privacy Policy; the providers involved in delivering the service are in the Subprocessor List.
